IMPLEMENTATION OF PHILIPPINE E-VISA SYSTEM

01 JULY 2026, CANBERRA – The Philippine Embassy in Canberra is pleased to announce the implementation of the Philippine electronic-Visa (e-Visa) system within its consular jurisdiction.

    ● Eligibility and Application Process

Foreign nationals residing within the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia who are eligible for e-Visas and traveling for temporary visits may now submit their applications online. Applicants should use the official portal at evisa.gov.ph. Payments for the non-refundable e-Visa fees are to be made securely through direct bank transfer.

    ● Issuance and Usage

Upon approval and issuance by the Embassy, the e-Visa can be accessed remotely via personal computers or mobile devices. It may be presented to immigration authorities in either digital or printed format; notably, a physical visa sticker will no longer be attached to the holder's passport.

    ● Important Reminders

Holders of a Philippine e-Visa are required to register on the Philippine e-Travel platform at https://etravel.gov.ph. This registration must be completed within 72 hours prior to departure and only after the e-Visa has been officially issued to ensure a smooth entry at Philippine ports.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT:

    ● Philippine e-Visas cannot be converted to other visa types, and the stipulated period of stay cannot be extended; and

    ● Foreign nationals traveling for purposes other than tourism, such as employment or studies, must directly apply for a regular visa sticker at the Embassy.
