22 May 2026, Port Vila, Vanuatu – Ambassador Morales together met with Samson Vilvil Fare, the first Director General of Vanuatu's recently created Ministry of Fisheries, Oceans and Maritime Affairs (MoFOMA) on 20 May 2026.

During the meeting, Mr. Fare detailed MoFOMA’s strategic focus, which includes addressing the maritime boundary disputes. In response, Ambassador Morales shared the Philippine experience on maritime boundary delimitation. He also requested assistance for a site visit to Philippine enterprise-owned facilities in Papua New Guinea and potential technical assistance to revitalize Vanuatu's Maritime College. - END
