09 September 2026, Canberra – Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Antonio A. Morales, together with other officers of the Philippine Embassy, attended the 2026 Annual Dinner of the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA) ACT Branch held at The Marion in Canberra.

The event featured the Hon. Dr. Kevin Rudd AC, former Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Australia and former Australian Ambassador to the United States, who delivered remarks on Australia-US relations and the evolving regional and global strategic environment.

Dr. Rudd discussed developments in Australia-US cooperation, including defense and security, critical minerals, emerging technologies, investment, and multilateral diplomacy. He also shared his perspectives on the role of middle powers in supporting regional and international institutions amid continuing changes in the international strategic environment.

The dinner brought together members of Australia’s diplomatic, policy, academic, and international affairs community - END.
