PHILIPPINE EMBASSY JOINS AUSTRALIA IN COMMEMORATING ANZAC DAY

25 April 2022 – H.E. Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega and Col. Romeo Bautista III, Defense and Armed Forces Attaché (DAFA) of the Philippines to Australia, participated in the ANZAC commemoration in Canberra today. The Ambassador and Col Bautista laid a wreath at the Stone of Remembrance at the Australian War Memorial.

ANZAC Day is celebrated by Australia every 25th day of April to honor the service of men and women who lost their lives in the war and their sacrifices to preserve peace.

Ambassador De La Vega attended also the National ANZAC Day Mass held at St. Christopher’s Cathedral in Canberra celebrated by Most Rev. Archbishop Christopher Prowse and other priests from the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. – END --
