Ms. Kate Ortega who graduated with a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University Australia delivers her remarks on behalf of the graduates on 15 May 2020 during a virtual commencement ceremony.

22 May 2020 – As we celebrate Philippines Australia Friendship Day, the Philippine Embassy in Australia congratulates the Filipino graduates of Carnegie Mellon University Australia:

Ms. Kate Ortega, Master of Science in Public Policy and Management, is an Australian Awards Scholar and works at the Department of Budget and Management

Ms. Yvette Solas, Master of Science in Public Policy and Management, is a scholar of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and full-time faculty of the University of Iloilo

Ms. Rhea Valbuena, Advanced Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, is an Executive Director of the School of Computing and Information Technologies at Asia Pacific College.

Ms. Ortega was among the students to deliver remarks on behalf of the graduates who shared her experience in studying in Carnegie Mellon University Australia.

H.E. Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega, Philippine Ambassador to Australia, attended the Carnegie Mellon University Australia Virtual Commencement on 15 May 2020. Ambassador De La Vega said that Filipino international students in Australia are a major part of the strong and enduring Philippines-Australia Comprehensive Partnership. She expresses her best wishes to the new graduates and wishes them well on the next chapter of their personal and professional lives. END
