Philippine Ambassador Welcomes New Filipino Students from the Australian National University

CANBERRA, Australia – H.E. Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega welcomed seven newly arrived Filipino students undertaking studies Masteral and Doctorate degrees at the Australian National University (ANU). The courtesy call was arranged by the ANU Filipino Student Association (ANUFA). The students are in the fields of International and Development Economic, Political and Social Change, Social Research and Public Policy.

Newly arrived Filipino students enrolled at the Australian National University were welcomed by Ambassador Ma. Hellen De La Vega (first row, third from left) on 16 January 2019 at the Philippine Embassy in Canberra.

Ambassador De La Vega shared that education cooperation is among the priority areas in the Philippines Australia Comprehensive Partnership. She encouraged the participation of Filipino students in working towards the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations in 2021.
