25 April 2025, CANBERRA – The Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Antonio A. Morales and Assistant Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Col. Paul Anthony Aviquivil participated in the Dawn Service at the Parade Ground of the Australian War Memorial in commemoration of ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day on 25 April 2025. The Ambassador joined officials of the Australian Government, members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries at the ANZAC Day breakfast that followed the Dawn Service.
ANZAC Day is Australia’s national day of commemoration, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifices of the brave men and women who demonstrated unwavering courage and resilience and gave their lives during the First World War.
This year, on 25 April, the Australian War Memorial marked the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings and commemorated all Australians who have served in times of peace and war. - END
