19 August 2026, CANBERRA – Ambassador Antonio A. Morales received H.E. Nagesh Singh, High Commissioner of India to Australia, for a courtesy call on 19 August 2026 at the Residence of the Philippine Ambassador in Canberra.

Ambassador Morales welcomed High Commissioner Singh and wished him a successful and productive tenure in Australia. The two Heads of Mission discussed the growing Philippines-India relationship, which was elevated to a Strategic Partnership in August 2025.

The two officials also exchanged views on cooperation between their respective Missions in Canberra and expressed their readiness to maintain close coordination and engagement.

Ambassador Morales and High Commissioner Singh also recognized the important contributions of the Filipino and Indian communities to Australia’s multicultural society, including their contributions to the country’s economic and cultural life. They underscored the important role of people-to-people ties in further strengthening relations among the Philippines, India, and Australia. END
