08 June 2021 (Brisbane) – FilAussie entrepreneur Rejoice Thomson and her husband Adam, the couple behind the success of Dovetail on Overend in Norman Park, have opened their new restaurant called Dovetail Social at Highgate Hill.

Rejoice celebrates her Filipino heritage through her gluten free desserts and menu. Her ube pavlova cake, served at the Filipino community engagement with Philippine Ambassador Ma. Hellen B. De La Vega on 01 June and the Make It Happen Business Forum on 02 June, combined two iconic Filipino and Australian flavors to mark Philippines Australia Friendship Day.

Rejoice was featured by the Philippine Embassy as one of Today’s Filipino Australian Women in 2019.

In celebration of Philippine Independence in the month of June, Rejoice has created a gluten free Filipino-inspired high tea that features calamansi (Philippine lemon), ube (Philippine purple yam) and tableya (Philippine chocolate).
