18 July 2026, SYDNEY – Philippine Ambassador to Australia H.E. Antonio A. Morales joined the Philippine Australian Global Alliance for Service and Advocacy (PAGASA) in its annual Christmas in July celebration at the Jamieson Hall, St Johns Park Bowling Club.

The event was attended by Federal Member for Werriwa and Government Whip Ms. Anne Stanley MP, State Member for Liverpool Ms. Charishma Kaliyanda MP, Consul General Greg Mariño of the Philippine Consulate in Sydney; and leaders of various Filipino community organizations. The gathering also commemorated the 80th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Australia.

In his remarks, Ambassador Morales underscored the important role of the Filipino-Australian community in strengthening the Philippines-Australia Strategic Partnership through enduring people-to-people ties. "Through your talent and service, you enrich Australia's multicultural fabric while strengthening the people-to-people ties between the Philippines and Australia. In so many ways, each of you serves as a bridge between our two nations,"he said. The Ambassador also encouraged the community to continue fostering unity while contributing to Australia's multicultural society.

The celebration featured a ceremonial toast led by Ambassador Morales and Anne Stanley MP, cake-cutting ceremony and vibrant Filipino cultural performances that showcased the richness of Filipino heritage and the enduring friendship between the Philippines and Australia. - END
