Question: I live far from any Philippine Embassy or Consulate. Do I have other options?.

Answer: If you cannot go to a Philippine Embassy/Consulate to have your fingerprints taken, you have the option to have your fingerprints taken at Australian police stations (the person who took the fingerprint impression must also sign on the form). Please follow the procedure below:

  1. Request an NBI Fingerprinting form from the Embassy, and send the Embassy an AUSPOST self-addressed stamped envelope.
  2. After receiving the form from the Embassy, go to the nearest Police station to have your fingerprints taken and request that the person who took the fingerprint impression sign on the form.
  3. Send the accomplished NBI form to the Embassy along with a processing fee of $45 in postal money order payable to the Embassy of the Philippines and self-addressed stamped envelope.
  4. The Consular officer will sign the NBI form and will mail the signed form back to the applicant.
  5. Follow the procedures in this link.
