Public Advisory on the Operations of the Philippine Embassy in Canberra in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic (Advisory # 4)

19 May 2020 – In line with the measures adopted by the ACT government to minimize exposure to COVID-19, the Philippine Embassy in Canberra will continue its no walk-in policy for all services provided by the Embassy. Effective 02 June 2020, the following will be the standard procedure in availing of consular services:

Office Hours: Mondays to Fridays, 10:00am - 3:00pm, excluding holidays.

By Appointment Only

  1. Passport Services. All passport applications to be done in person at the Philippine Embassy in Canberra will be scheduled Mondays to Fridays, 10:00am - 2:45pm excluding public holidays.     If travelling from states outside the ACT, please check first travel restrictions of your state/ territory.

    The Embassy is adopting strict social distancing measures for your safety. Only the passport applicant will be allowed to enter the Embassy premises. Only one companion will be allowed for applicants who are in need of assistance such as minor or PWD.

    The Embassy reserves the right to refuse entry into its premises in the interest of public health.

  2. Notarial Services. Those who wish to seek Embassy notarial services (i.e. affidavits, special power-of-attorney, etc.) need to book an appointment. Please note that documents issued in Australia and are duly Apostilled by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade are acceptable in the Philippines.

  1. Civil Registry. Applications for Report of Marriage and Report of Birth should be sent by mail only.

  2. NBI Clearances. Applications for NBI clearances should be sent by mail only.

  3. Dual Citizenship. Applications for dual citizenship should be sent by mail only. Oath taking is SUSPENDED until further notice.
