Civil Registry Documents now Available Through the Internet (NSO's E-Census Service)

Filipinos abroad who need copies of their birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate of deceased relatives, or other civil registry document from the National Statistics Office (NSO) may now apply for such certificates on-line through the NSO's E-census service.

To avail themselves of the E-census service, interested parties shall log on at the NSO's website. Once they have gained access at this website, they will be able to electronically file requests for birth, death, marriage and even certificates of no marriage. Payments for the request and handling fee can be made by depositing the prescribed fees in US dollars to the Westpac Banking Corporation-New South Wales branch the corresponding bank of Land Bank of the Philippines with US dollar Account No. 0234-0026-35 (for credit to the National Statistics Office). After making the deposit, the concerned parties are to inform the NSO, also through e-mail, of their payment, their name, date when remittance was made, amount remitted and the name of the correspondent bank.

The NSO's E-census service is still part of overall efforts by the Philippine Government to fast-track the delivery of essential services to Filipinos overseas.
