What
are the visa requirements for Australians wishing to visit the
Philippines as tourists or for business reasons?
The following documents should be submitted with
the duly accomplished application Form No. 2 for issuance of
visa.
For Tourists:
- Passport with a minimum validity of six (6) months beyond
applicant's stay in the Philippines.
- One (1) passport-size photo signed at the back by the applicant.
If the applicant is a minor (and unable to sign) the photograph
must be signed at the back by either parent after first printing
the minor's name.
- Photocopy of applicant's plane ticket or confirmed itinerary.
- Non-refundable fee of A$xx.xx (see
Schedule of Fees: Visas), payable in cash, bank draft
or Postal Money Order payable to the Embassy of the Philippine
Embassy, Canberra or the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney,
whichever is applicable.
For Business Travelers:
Applicants must submit above requirements, plus
a letter of support from the sponsoring company in the Philippines.
If applying by mail, the signature of the applicant
must be notarised by the Notary Public or verified by a Justice
of the Peace and or the Honorary Consulate General of the State/Territory.
The applicant is responsible for the return of
the passport/document, either by special courier or postal service,
and is requested to provide a self-addressed Express Post or
Registered Post envelop.
The Consular Officer may require personal interview
of the tourist/business applicants and the application will
be evaluated on its merits in compliance with the relevant provisions
of Philippine laws and regulations. A decision will be made
in as timely a manner possible. Some applications require additional
administrative processing that may result in some delay.
Minors (below 15 years old) travelling to the
Philippines unaccompanied by a parent or not joining a parent
in the Philippines are subject to additional requirements. Please
refer to the section on "Waiver of Exclusion Ground".
If the visitor wishes to extend his/her stay beyond
59 days, he/she must apply for an extension with the Philippine
Bureau of Immigration before his/her initial visa lapses and
pay the corresponding fees. In addition, he/she will have
to pay the fees for the Immigration Clearance Certificate and
Legal Research upon departure from the Philippines.
