In the Philippines, we say 'Mabuhay' to greet someone, to wish good health and long life, to inspire and encourage, or simply to cheer.  It is therefore with distinct pleasure that I greet the visitors of the website of the Philippine Embassy in Canberra a warm and heartfelt Mabuhay!  

With the continuous growth and development of information technology, our world has indeed become a global nation. With just the click of the mouse, accessing the information needs of individuals and stakeholders has become easier, faster and more convenient.

The Embassy has come up with this website in response to the challenge of providing the information requirements of our different publics. More importantly, our website is the Embassy’s way of reaching out and implementing our renewed mandate from President Benigno S. Aquino III to pursue the following foreign policy priorities:  the promotion of the Philippines as an attractive investment destination, the promotion and protection of the welfare of Filipinos overseas and ensuring the Philippines’ domestic security.
 
Our website contains information on developments on the Philippines’ relations with countries under the Embassy’s jurisdiction, which include Australia, Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu; our services such as visas, passport, authentication, news on important developments in the Philippines and features on Embassy activities.   

We will be regularly updating and improving our website.  In the process, we look forward to strengthening our partnership with our publics and will be happy to welcome feedback on how to better improve our website and our services.
